  • In our own testing with a sub-meter antenna, we found that X-band delivered efficiencies more than two times higher than equivalent Ku-band (HTS) capabilities. Want to know how this testing was performed?
  • “Today’s Comms-On-The-Move user must be able to easily and efficiently transmit and receive voice, data, imagery and HD video. X-band is an ideal frequency band for transmitting high data rates efficiently with small (sub-meter) antennas.” - MilsatMagazine, April 2017
  • Why is that important? The men and women we serve are focused entirely on completing their mission. Their ability to communicate is a big part of determining mission success or failure. A dropped signal, unavailable access or interference are not just nuisances, they can be a matter of life or death.
  • XTAR is able to pivot where necessary to meet mission requirements. We handle engineering, design and customer support in-house and are able to respond to user issues rapidly.
  • Both government-owned and commercial teleport access points are operating today throughout the coverage area of the XTAR fleet. Through these sites, users are able to leverage XTAR space segment to support a host of applications. • While efficiencies will vary depending on data rates transmitted, terminals utilized, and coverage areas, XTAR has provided service to a 0.4m antenna transmitting a 10 Mbps carrier at an efficiency of 1.05 bits/Hz over an entire area of interest. High Throughput Satellites would struggle to achieve these types of efficiencies.
