Delivering X-Band to the Power of X

XTAR, LLC is the first commercial satellite operator providing services in the X-band frequency, which is the cornerstone of today's government, military, diplomatic, humanitarian and emergency disaster response operations. A privately-owned and operated company, XTAR is a successful joint venture between Loral Space & Communications and HISDESAT. The company is exclusively dedicated to serving the long-haul communications needs of U.S. and Allied military, civil and government organizations.

XTAR enables and supports the high-capacity, efficient SATCOM communications that are the cornerstone of today's government and military operations and disaster response operations. The high-powered global, fixed and steerable beams on XTAR's two payloads provide over 4 GB of essential, flexible, real-time X-band capacity with coverage from Denver east to Singapore.

Steerable spot beams and on-board switching allow XTAR's coverage to be swiftly repositioned for urgent or "on-the-move" requirements. Troop relocation, small mobile vehicle combat and intelligence teams, naval communications, security or disaster response operations all benefit from XTAR's global, fixed and steerable beam structure.
